The menu in Merchant
The web shop's menu in KwikEat Merchant: built the same way as in Desktop. And what changes when Desktop publishes the menu.
The menu in KwikEat Merchant works exactly like in KwikEat Desktop: groups with products, and per group or product the options with their choices and extra charges. You make combinations and deals the same way too.
| KwikEat Desktop | KwikEat Merchant | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Option | Option | Size |
| Choice | Choice | Large + € 4.00 |
| Options of the group (Whole group) | Group options | Size for all pizzas |
| Options of the product (This product) | Product options | Extra toppings on the margherita |
| Slot, To choose from | Slot, To choose from | Pizza ×2 from All of Pizza |
So for the menu, simply read the chapter Building your menu and the examples.
For the web shop only
Per group Merchant has a few things only the web shop uses:
- a background image (a web address);
- a text above the products and a text below the products, for example All pizzas also gluten-free or While stocks last.
When Desktop publishes the menu
When the shop is linked to KwikEat Desktop, the menu comes from Desktop. You change it there and choose Publish; then the web shop shows it. In Merchant the menu can then only be viewed, with when it was last published at the top.
What you still do in Merchant: per group the image and the texts above and below the products. Publishing leaves those alone.
